"I have been a woodworker since 1988 and started KCW in 1995. I've had a great passion for wood all my life and take great joy out of creating something beautiful and useful from scratch. As you can see throughout my web site, I have created many custom, one-of-a-kind, pieces. Since I appreciate the natural color and grain of wood, I rarely use stain. Most pieces are protected with oil and finished with wax. Oil and wax not only allow the true color and grain of the wood show through, but the wood "feels" like wood." When a piece is intended for heavy use (such as a table top) I finish with several coats of protective polyurethane.

Another passion of mine is web design and development. This entire site was designed and created by me. Throughout this site you will see words or phrases that appear like this. When you roll your mouse over the text, additional information about the word or phrase appears. You may also notice the "style control" feature above. Clicking on of the "A" options changes the text size throughout the entire site. The "no background" option replaces the image background with a solid color.
